Teacher as Artist-in-Residence: The Most Radical Form of Expression to Ever Exist

By dismantling long-held ideas about expertise, productivity, and art itself, this workshop proposes a pathway for teachers to permanently exist as creative practitioners in their own classrooms and schools. Other than thinking, there is no special art skill requirement for you to emerge as the premiere artist-in-residence in your classroom.

Kyle Bauer Pulse Art Fair

Kyle Bauer (BFA 2007, Sculpture), along with artists Brian Dunn and Patrick Harkin, will exhibit at the PULSE Art Fair on December 3-8, 2019.

Material Tension is a presentation of three artists who explore material and medium utilizing humor and a high level of craft.

Kyle has an impressive breadth of work, command of craftsmanship, and refinement. The work he is including at the fair is new: a rich and clever arrival at his own defined aesthetic. In his own words: "I allude to themes and the metaphor of a journey, which coupled alongside my continual quest for self-discovery, has been manifested into sculptures that aid the viewer as they navigate the gallery space. Each sculpture exists as an honest form."
